# 3.4.2 Release Notes

## Features

- Communities:

  - Create and update communities in an asynchronous fashion.
  - Move creation of communities & image fetching to the backend.
  - Create API to create or update batch of communities.
  - Create endpoint to retrieve status of creating and updating batch of communities.
  - Add configuration and logic to allow automatic synchronisation of communities from a facet value.
  - Postpone fetching communities images after communities are created/updated.
  - Deduplicate imported communities based on facet value.
  - Deleting a community type deletes the associated KEE step.
- Include the published models of AI Studio in the import/export functionality.
- Add an optimization mechanism to the backend for running multiple ML inference jobs.
- Add filtering and pagination to the Data Sources page.
- Add custom SOQL query option to the Salesforce dataloaders.
- Add new pipeline step called PDF OCR which performs OCR on scanned PDF documents in order to extract their text.
- Uploading pipelets accepts an optional parameter called pipeline_section which designates in which section of the Pipeline Editor the pipelet will go under.

## Bug Fixes

- Python 3 related fixes for the OpenSearch studio plugin & Natural Language query parser studio plugin.
- The Pipelets which are added to a pipeline workflow using the Pipeline Editor now enforce defining any required arguments.
- Fix RPM dependencies to fix installation instabilities on RHEL 7 / CentOS 7
- Upgraded PyYAML to match the NLP requirements.
- Fix documentation building by requiring the right library versions.
- Scheduled sources will be able to run again (based on their configured interval) after killing them.
- Fix visual regressions on Engagement Map Widget.

## Installation and Upgrade

You will have to resolve at least the following config files when upgrading from Squirro 3.3.0

- `/etc/nginx/conf.d/ssl.inc`
- `/etc/squirro/common.ini`
