AI Studio Step 1: Candidate Sets#

A candidate set helps you identify quality text extracts for your ground truth in a large data universe.

All candidate sets within a project are listed in the Candidate Sets overview screen as shown below:

Note: A new set can be created by clicking on the plus icon in the top right corner of the screen.

In addition to being able to see all candidate sets, the overview screen also provides useful actions which can be performed on single or multiple candidate sets:

  • Edit: Edit a candidate set query.

  • Duplicate: Duplicate a candidate set.

  • Delete: Delete a candidate set.

  • Create Ground Truth: Create a Ground Truth based on the selected candidate set(s).

To create a candidate set you first create a Squirro search query.

This can either be created using Query Syntax or selecting filters on the left panel as shown below:
