# Actions Widget The Actions widget, previously called the Link widget, is used to present actions to the user. [](https://s3.amazonaws.com/download.squirro.net/docs/migrated-attachments/1024851990/2727968900.png) These actions can manipulate the [Dashboard Store](../../dashboards/dashboard-store.md#dashboards-store) or open links. In addition to the custom-provided links, the widget also offers built-in functions, such as the Save Filter popup. For information about the alerts created from that popup, see the [Email Alerts](../../search/features/email-alerts.md#search-email-alerts) page. Different options also provide ways to change the styling. For example, you can choose to use icons or change the button modes.
