Explore Dashboard

The Explore Dashboard role defines the dashboard that is displayed in the Setup → Explore space.

By default, it is only visible to project and server administrators and is their primary tool for exploring the data in the project.

Overview

Prior to the release of Squirro 3.8.6 LTS, the Explore dashboard within Squirro was not configurable. It was a fixed dashboard that was always displayed in the Setup → Explore space.

Now, it is viewable in the Setup → Visualization → Dashboards screen and can be edited using the Squirro Dashboard Editor.

By default, it is only visible to project and server administrators. Clicking Visible in the Setup → Visualization → Dashboards screen makes it visible to all users via the Dashboards space.

Explore Dashboard (Explore) is NOT Explore (Global Search)

The Squirro Cognitive Search template includes an Explore dashboard in the Dashboards space that is distinct from the Explore dashboard in the Setup space.

There is no relationship between the two, other than sharing the name. Other Squirro products typically do not include an Explore dashboard in the Dashboards space. The Explore dashboard within the Dashboards space built into Cognitive Search is typically promoted to serve as a Global Search Dashboard.
